Here’s what happened since yesterday’s email:
Para Swimming - Tupou Neiufi - 100m Backstroke S8
Tupou swam with a time of 1:23.49, unfortunately just behind the qualifying time to advance to the finals. She will compete again on Thursday in the 50m Freestyle S8.
Shooting Para Sport - Neelam O'Neill - P2 10m Air Pistol SH1
Neelam scored 551pts in qualifying, just shy of the score needed to advance to the finals, but placing her in 10th overall. She is the first woman to represent NZ in air pistol at the Paralympic Games, and will compete again on Sunday in the R3 Mixed 10m Air Rifle Prone SH1 (with teammate Greg Reid).
